Salvage
The Czech Association of Firefighting Officers, z.s., is involved in the field of rescuing injured persons from crashed vehicles mainly in the development of relevant methodology and regulations, professional training and training of firefighters, professional training and training of judges for rescue competitions and the organization of individual competitions and championships. The history of rescue competitions dates back mainly to 1994 (the first rules were issued), the participation of teams in international (and world) competitions and the gradual development of competitions in rescuing injured persons from crashed vehicles. In 2004, the existing rules were revised and new ones were issued.
The Czech Association of Fire Officers, z.s., places information on its website to promote the "rescue area". Furthermore, the Czech Association of Fire Officers, z.s. cooperates with graduates who deal with the issue of salvage in their bachelor and master theses. With the support of grants from the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic - General Directorate of the Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic, the Association publishes professional and thematic materials that serve for the professional training of firefighters. The members of the association participate in the preparation of training outlines, methodological sheets of the combat regulations, etc.
The Czech Association of Firefighting Officers, z.s., has also provided "across the board" training of judges for the advancement rounds and arranged the 1st championship in rescuing injured persons from crashed vehicles within the Slovak Republic.
In 2009, according to the request of the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic - General Directorate of the Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic, the members of the Czech Association of Fire Officers, z.s., conducted, among other things, training on the issue of traffic accidents (three two-day runs) in the facilities of the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic for selected members of the Police of the Czech Republic. At the same time, the Czech Association of Fire Officers, z.s, also participates in the provision of instructional and methodological training at Škoda Auto a.s., organised by the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic - General Directorate of the Fire Brigade of the Czech Republic. The Czech Association of Fire Officers, z.s., participates in the development of comprehensive procedures addressing current trends in the field of hybrid and electric vehicles.
